Yesterday marked the 1 year anniversary of my niece Crystal receiving her new heart. Day one of recovery was so exciting as sh was recovering well. She continued to recover for 10 days before her body started rejecting the heart. My thoughts, thanks, and prayers go out to the family that was willing to donate their childs organs....

I remember this from a year ago, you were so kind as to share information about Crystal with us. I visited the site in honor of her now, her "thumbs up" photo pulls at my heart strings.

Thank you, we all miss her. I think this holiday season will be harder even than last year. Last year, we were just so relieved it was over. This year, she will be missed.
