so, headed home friday, wound up eventually heading over to jennelle's place to watch away we go, but settled on year one since the trailers were amusing enough, despite the mediocre reviews on imdb and rt. it had some decent laughs, but cera is getting irritating playing the same person in every movie..awkwardly cute and funny will only get you so far, i say. then again, it was enough to get him into juno's pants, so he must be doing something right..
saturday, headed down to richmond to grab my tv and some other things, and found that chris and rob had been ever so kind enough to move everything that wasn't theirs onto the floor of the living room, and the breakfast nook table. we quickly got down to business however, as rob, rather than renew for another three months at a $25 price increase, threatened to leave because he was certain he could find a better, bigger place to live at an even cheaper price (note he omitted the "newer" part). course, lease terms keep him locked in until the end of october at the earliest, and month-to-month is an extra $25 anyway. i also doubt he'll be able to find a place and move out by october 1st (you can only tell us you'll be moving out on the first of a month), considering how long it took him to move in..not to mention he got along pretty well with josephine and chris, and just how inconvenient it is to move, especially when you have as much stuff as he does (think uhaul vs. two car loads or so when i moved around downtown richmond).
seems like a good deal of trouble over what basically was one small issue: moving his things out of the fourth bedroom that he is not (and has not been) paying for, regardless of whether he believes the room to be livable and/or rentable. it is not a common area, it is not downstairs, he hasn't paid a cent for taking up its space, and thus i don't understand the incessant quibbling directed at us landlords when there's a perfectly good attic for all that stuff that he doesn't intend to ever sort through..we take care of the trash and utils, and you clean up after yourself, simple as that! but whatever..now he's stuck paying an extra $25 for using that room, until he moves out, which is basically the same thing anyway. who'd've thought it would be so difficult with other adults, eh? hahah.
sunday, i got to unloading the van as mother cooked more food for me to bring up with me. while it's awesome to have home-cooked meals for lunch and dinner while i'm up here, i keep telling myself i'll get around to cooking again..i guess i'm waiting for the whole living situation to pan out. speaking of which, marleah and/or amanda still haven't called me back as of this writing, so it's probably safe to say they went with whatever girl the interviewed after me. ah well, so much for that lead..and it would've been cool, too. so anyway, i never got in touch with kenny on saturday, and MA had already headed back to charlottesville pretty early, jennelle called to see whether i wanted to come over to watch another movie. after dawdling around a good while (taking care of mail and such), i got over there and we settled on quarantine, which turned out to be pretty decent (even though i'm not the biggest fan of survival horror, hahah).
started working the jems schema basically all day at work today. database are just so much fun!..right then.
