pm, you absolutely nailed resaboo and devables; i only spent 2 hours with them in an airport (altho' sometimes we have 3-way conversations on the phone) and it is exactly as you write. i like to think that i have also been fortunate to have met one of the few truly wonderful men still out there; lord knows i had my share of the unworthy.
nominated!
If you only spend 2 hours in an airport then you spent enough time to experience it, but spending a few days with them would change the way you view love!
my friends sheila and bill are like that....and i like to think that mark and i have a rather special relationship, too. these types of relationships are rare, but they are out there.
I gotta say that the bond they share is hard to put into words and truly do it justice, but I think you did quite well. It was so sweet to watch them interact and it was especially nice for me to see/have a positive male role model, and a healthy relationship since I haven't been exposed to much of either. Everything *seems* to just fit, and flow, and work for them. I'm sure that's not to say they haven't had their challenges (?), but it's....how do I say it? They have the perfect blend of their individuality and coupledom.
If you were here, you'de get the stuffing squeezed out of you! Thank you for recognizing and appreciating what we always felt we had first and foremost from the beginning.... friendship.
He is the first romantic relationship I have ever been in that started out with just being friends. I believe that had something to do with it. He is not perfect. He is my diamond in the rough. We have our squabbles. But he is, still, after almost 9 years, the best man I have ever known.
OK, getting a little verklempt here.... sniffle.

lol....stuffing? Is that what all this flab is made of? Squeeze away baby
I agree that friends first is a great way to start, because you got to know each other better that way. And no one is perfect....well, I am....lol, I am rather bendy ya know
(I showed my Mom that pic and she wanted to know how I did it!)
Anyway...read what I replied to Dev...it's the closest to a good reply I can give. But there is something about the 2 of you....just being around you we could tell.
Aw, shucks....(looks down and sheepishly kicks inside of left instep with right toes)....gee whiz.....golly....Thanks, y' all. Resa is just so damned easy to love....you know whut I mean, Vern?
You have no need to say shucks or golly, or gee whiz! I never really "got it" til I spent time with the 2 of you.....and it's hard to put into words what it is....it's nothing specific either of you said or did! It's more about the "unspoken" between the 2 of you, an aura between the 2 of you....like I said, it is hard to describe! But I do know one thing...you 2 are the definition of soulmates and I mean that in the most sincere way possible....not the cornball 13 year old who is chewing her gum and twirling her hair. It's as if it was in the stars and you were destined to be together. I truly believe that...and YES....Resa is just so damned easy to love! But so are YOU!
I believe in the destiny thing. We met in a chat room, y'know. When I got my first computer, I had all but bought it at Best Buy and was almost rung up and out the door when the bitchy sales girl gave me a raft of shit because I made her go back to get the laptop bag I had paid for, not the one she'd brought up to me. She balked and insulted me and I took back my Visa card and walked out, the store manager trailing behind me. I would not hear him! The deal there was the computer and 3 yrs. of MSN. I went across to Circuit City and got the very same laptop but with 3 years of CS for free. It was a CS chat room that I met Beloved in. Destiny? Oh, yes!
Nice to hear that that type of love still exists.....
I knew it once a long time ago also and know just how special it is.
May the good Lord keep them safe and happy for a long time to come....
"Eagle"
I've never known that type of love, but to see it with them was certainly beautiful! It gave me hope that it's possible! Even if I am an old broad!
