Andre de Dienes sell for record amounts!
BEVERLY HILLS (August 20, 2007) – OneWest Publishing sets the record books ablaze at Julien’s 2007 Summer Auction Sale in June by selling a record sales for vintage prints of Marilyn Monroe taken by the late master photographer Andre de Dienes.
Limited Edition CIBA chrome prints of Marilyn Monroe, in a famous 1949 seaside photo shoot by Andre de Dienes sold for $13,500, while some prints sold as high as $16,000.
Vintage prints, hand printed by Andre de Dienes, sold for as much as $6,300, while an umbrella, used in one of Andre’s more well-known prints, sold for as much as $42,000!

The Julien’s Auction results solidify the value and style of Andre’s work, and further immortalizes Marilyn Monroe as the iconic legend she portrays. “One of the buyers, William Doyle, said he planned to display them at the Museum of Style Icons in County Kildare in Ireland!” Murphy said in a statement.
