My three constant companions.

Why do I smoke? I smoke for the same reasons all smokers smoke - because somehow we have lost respect for the health of our bodies. A smoker would never pour harmful, foreign matter into the carburator of their car, instead we do it to our lungs. Yipee! Tar and nicotine. Those damn "ine's", they'll get you every time.

The same tale applies to coffee. Because I smoke the strongest cigarettes available, I brew my coffee the same way. The amount of grounds most people use to make a pot, I use to brew a single cup. Yummie!

So yes, my breath and my clothes have that wonderful aroma people yearn for.

My son gives me shit every day, but I am a hopeless junkie. I gotta have it. Gotta have it now, right now!

My home city here, Colorado Springs, CO recently passed a new law prohibiting smoking in all buildings and outside only within a distance of fifteeen feet or greater from any doorway.  Oh, all the smokers have the same bitches... "it's not fair", "we're being unfairly penalized". Bullshit! They don't enjoy my perspective - smokers are stupid, it's a waste of money, it ruins your health, it leaves a stench everywhere. I say great, now non-smokers don't have to endure the nasty residual effects of smokers.

DO YOU SMOKE? I WOULD BE INTERESTED TO HEAR YOUR TAKE.

Hell ya, I smoke. It's my constant companion and it's all part of a huge government conspiracy to get us to stop smoking indoors.

Re: MY THREE CONSTANT COMPANIONS & WHY
I used to smoke, but quit.  I live in Washington state and we have the same law, with the exception that smokers have to be (I believe it's) 25 ft. from the entrance to any building.  I can say, I like the law.  Not only is it offensive to others, but my son and my mother have horrible allergies and cigarette smoke affects them horribly.  It is sad when people who have breathing problems or are allergic to cigarette smoke have to walk through a cloud of it to go into a grocery store.

I respect and admire you having quit the nasty habit. It's my greatest weakness.

Just wondering what is your focus in your computer education?

I graduated with an AAS in Microcomputer Business Applications.  I wanted to study computer science...more along the lines of technical/diagnostic/repair, but the college in our area had just discontinued that degree the year before.

I don't smoke, and I think it's a good idea to ban smoking from some places, and around them also, I'm allergic, and I really don't appreciate going through a cloud of smoke, having to close my eyes and hold my breath until I get to the doors.

Re: MY THREE CONSTANT COMPANIONS & WHY
I smoked pretty heavily for about two years, but I quit around a year and a half ago when I found out my gramma had lung cancer.  Honestly, I wish we had laws like that where I live, but I don't see it happening with all the casinos.  People love their gambling and nicotine way too much.
