Remember the story of the "Little ren hen"? She first asks the question " Would anybody like to share my bread?" The resounding reply was an exuberant "yes"! But then when asked the questions "who will help me plow my field, and plant my corn, harvest the wheat, and cook the bread", they all replied "I won't".. They all wanted to "reap the benefits" without doing any of the work.

There are very few "red hens" in our country today. They work tirelessly to bring about change to our decaying system. They make phone calls , march and petition. They organize rallies, pass out fliers,write letters and speak in public places.

If America does not move forward it will fall back. One person cannot move a mountain , but millions can!

What do you see in your future for this country? Are your rights and the rights of others important to you? Are you a "Red hen" or are you a "parasite"? Do you feed off the work of others? Do you "sit and blog" and watch from the comfort of your easy chair while others  are on the frontline in the war for change?

There are two extreme groups at work out there.The Liberal left who believe in total separation of church and state, morality should not be legislated by the government, and that all people should have equal rights no matter their sexual orientation. They believe it is your right as a human being to make personnal choices for yourself ,  and that only you know what's best for you. The want you to be in control of your life, to decide for yourself and  what you believe is morally right or wrong.

 At the far right we have the "religious right" who believe that the church should be in complete control of the government and all it's laws should be based on the bible. They are against equal rights for the GLBT community, stem cell research, and are anti-choice. They want to control your personnal life by passing laws to control your moral decisions based on their adgenda.

There is also a group that plays in the middle  between the two sides. Their views are varied depending which way they lean.

So pick a side, then get in the game. Every player is valuable from the waterboy to the coach. But the spectators are expendible, casting their bets from the corners. Munching on popcorn and hotdogs, yelling and screaming when things go wrong. But they have no say in the outcome of the game or how it is played. They sit on the sidelines watching and waiting. Ready to celebrate if their team wins or to cry if they lose.

 Are you willing to bet your "life and future" while you sit back and watch and hope for the best?

As a "little red hen" I ask you this simple question "who will help me plow the field?"
