Experience leads me to believe that we'd have the same problems we do now. Women are human, and thus subject to the same vices and virtues that men are. Since power attracts only a certain personality type, even if the female gender averages less aggressive than the male gender, the most ambitious and bold, thus aggressive, women would be the ones who rise to power.

I'm sure your right there. the political world is "cut throat" to say the least.
But keeping that in mind the same would hold true for men.But I didn't feel Jimmy carter was all that bold or aggressive and yet he managed to win a term.

Let's see...Femmes like you and I, who have a Roseanne way of dealing with children and annoying would-be-helpful-if-they-had-a-brain counsel...great at budgeting, juggling many tasks and drama llama incidents at once, lack of sleep and a very "show me the evidence so I can study and decide for myself" & "Fuck politically correct, if it needs to be said and it's true, just say it or stfu." ...Hmmm..we'd do well. We're not all about money or power, keeping up with the joneses, though it would be a bitch for the poor guy left to trying to stick us into dresses..every day..for 4 years? Ha! It'd be the pressed slacks pantsuits of men for me before I'd be chiffonned and floofed of my own decision,lol! Us, Roseanne, that 80 year old tiny gal who beat the guy with a bat (woo, granny!) and....ah fuck....hmmm.... .

I would make a horrible president I am afraid in many ways. Oh sure, I would be for complete human rights but I would also be for complete separation of church and state. I would be totally partisan and anti war military would be for defense only . I would impose a flat tax with no refunds, legalize pot and prostitution, I would work on relations with Canada and Mexico ,repeal don't ask don't tell, universal health care, make right to die with dignity legal,and no tax exempt churches. Sex offenders , murders and rapist would get life without parole, prisoners would work 6 days a week to pay back society whether in county or federal prisons.
Thats just a start of what I would want to do and it would piss a bunch of people off. I'm sure someone would shoot me because the only gun control I would pass would be on offenders (those committing a crime with a gun...automatic life)or illegals (only law abiding citizens should be able firearms in this country and they should be in plain sight not concealed.

Ah sweetie...we can do it together!I call them all the time, write letters, sign petitions but they all have agendas  and special interests.It will take many voices crying out loudly to be heard in Washington or any other government office for that matter.
But here's another thing , most Christians would hate my plan (if I were president) because I would give the GLBT community the equal rights and privileges that they deserve as humans, citizens and tax payers of this country. And most do not believe in a woman's right to chose or the right to die with dignity which I favor. Though I would make free and easy access birth control a top priority to keep the use of abortion to a minimum.Human right's would be the foundation of my platform.

Women are no different than men, except for interests, I think (although I could get stuck between a rock and a hard place for thinking that lol). They both live in the same scales of good+bad, love+hate, power hungryness+giving, etc - it's not fair or accurate for society to hold generalised prejudices like "women are nicer" or "men are stronger" as there's almost no pattern, and it can't really be compared anyway because they have different ways of expressing those attributes.

Women do like to talk, but that's casual. Male social bonding over playing snooker or drinking is more just by spending time +support as 'mates'. Both would help develop the casual friendship between national leaders of the same gender. As for professional negociation or financial expertise, that'll depend on direct experience of the individual - there are people in both genders who like talking, leading, maths, finances, etc - even in chem class too it seemed pretty 50:50.

I think you and "saikotik"  are right. I think if women held different positions of power they would act the same as men for the most part. I think that because they have been held back and down they have learned to be submissive.
As a women who adores her children and would never send them into harms way, I don't believe a women would be as likely to go to war. We know how hard it is to make and carry them little critters. No that a father doesn't care but they tend to see war as "glory and honor". I see it as "gory and horrible" but unfortunately often necessary.
My son was in the army reserves six years. His dad was proud of him, I thought he was nuts  and always afraid he would die in some war.
It will be interesting to see when the day comes and a woman holds the highest office.I just hope it isn't some religious nut job woman...just as I don't want some religious nut job man in there.

Mhmm! I hope that gender nolonger is an issue in opportunities or pay or position + they're not held back (and without using "positive discrimination" to achieve equality targets either). I think dominance + submission shouldn't exist at all really - no one person should ever control another. Even though women to some degree still do lack the full perks, women do have have power in other ways that isn't always recognised - like it's often the woman who decides whether or not to go out with someone - they are the judge, and choose between 'applicants' like an employer is when you apply for a job - I wish women could take a more proactive role if they wanted to, and thankfully it's starting to happen a little more. Also because as is if a woman was too shy, that wouldn't stop guys going to them, but if a guy was shy, he can't go up to girls and basically they're screwed. When I favour equality I favour it on all grounds, but there will always be more men 'hunting' because of the sex drive difference.

And yep, I wish more people could care about protecting children like that! You're right that men are more likely to favour glory, or honour, or sacrifice themselves for a cause - almost like how many more suicide bombers are male - and why so many more men seem to want to fight - it's almost like a glorified suicide while still getting the chance to destroy stuff - because destruction for some reason does seem to appeal to men (like stock car/banger racing, even liking dinosaurs because they eat stuff). I don't fully understand it but I think men have a sort of energy they want to use up - an energy that psyches them up, stops them from relaxing, etc, although perhaps to some degree that (and the mother's protectiveness thing) might cross genders. lol to your adaption to glory+honour!

And some women still cower down under men. That whole love, honor and "obey" thing.

Don't lose heart! I think life itself runs against church beliefs - which is why they have to resist what life's telling them + invest energy to be able to maintain those, but eventually they'll run out of willpower and eventually come crashing with force (in my case going too far and believing I was hellbound and oppressed by over-restricting my life) - so they're spelling their own destruction and burning themselves out in a way and we just have to emphasise what life is saying to speed the whole thing up and make it as painless a transition as we can for them + all involved.

It is hard and I try to be quite stealthy about how I present ideas to them so they'll be willing to think about them, and can't easily argue with them because it's out love for human kind, or caring for them - like using Jesus as an example of someone who didn't deserve what happened to him. We shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops (and them not even try), but it helps! It's sometimes almost impossible to avoid them interpreting it in a hostile way if they're determined, that's the problem I had with dox. We can't change the church but we can hopefully syphon people off one at a time!

My way to confront them is through their own word ...the bible. I have read it through countless times and so I know it well. It seems most of them don't read it at all.
If they can't follow the word they preach how can they expect any one else to follow it?
And if read closely the bible disproves it's self over and over as the "infallible word of God".

(I've never read it even when I considered myself christian and I don't even own a bible! lol - not that there seems much point reading it now) You're right on that most don't read it - they're lazy - I guess they like to just be told what to do so they don't have to soulsearch or read, try to 'look' like a good student, by going to church, basically give the image of someone who deserves heaven without actually earning it.

Exactly, they choose what to listen to and what not to, they cling to hope, they indulge in the idea of rightousness, they fear anything that threatens that lifestyle (blissful ignorance lol) - I think to them maybe belief allows them to trick their own minds like that - and since it can be enforced it allows the religion to be authoritatian, which they think saves them from having to find their own way

The life Jesus told them to live is certainly not the one you see them living!Jesus was all about, giving, forgiving, sharing. He was non money..non government...a pacifist. he cared not for possessions and condemned no one.
The church sees no profit in it's parishioners being poor so they twist the words to suit their needs.
If there was a god and Jesus in heaven, I wonder what they would think if they looked at the church today with it's huge elaborate cathedrals, adorned with expensive furnishings, big screen tvs, preachers draped in fine linens and gold jewelry living in large houses and driving expensive cars. While the church is surrounded by starving widows and poor people!
