I was talking with TheRacket in one of those posts *waves hand in the general direction of the past* about how after looking at the image I did for my half of our most recent Creativity Exchange, there were some things I wanted to change. He said he wanted to see it when it was done.

I finished it earlier this evening, so here it is:



For those of you not fans of those elementary school compare and circle the differences drawings, I darkened the sky a little more, added three trees, gave the fire a little more glow and deepened the shadows of the couple. Then, I recropped it.

I really like the changes, especially the addition of the trees. It changes the whole mood of the picture, makes it feel cozy and peaceful instead of a bit chill and ghostly. The previous version felt like maybe they were lost, he's comforting her, where this one feels that they're there intentionally.

 

Well, that's my take on it, anyhow.
