But then you use up energy lighting your house!
Hey *going from state to state teaching people how to kill politicians and get away with it* I just ran by to say "Thank You" for having taken the time to stop in at my blog Boo.
Addendum to HT #4: For maximum efficiency curtains, shades or blinds should have a white reflective surface on the outside and a really dark green or black non-reflective on the inside. Said devices should be reversed in the fall so as to dray heat in during the winter months.

I don't know about that, Reynolds being best I mean. My grandmother had thick roll up shades that had some kind of white reflective surface on one side and a real dark flat green on the other side and she would turn them around in the spring and fall.
Besides she said that the Aluminum foil in peoples windows looked trashy and I didn't argue with her after she told me how those shades worked either because she didn't have AC and her house was always cool in the summer Boo.

Check the exterior of the space craft that were protected from heat - they used reynolds wrap.
Now you sound like the kennedys and kerrys.. Save energy but don't make me do it... Do what is right unless I don't like the looks bad..

I have no idea what's on the space craft and screw the kennedys and kerrys and al gores of this world Boo.
I didn't say not to use foil on your windows, I just said what my grand mother had for her windows, and I commented on how well it worked when used as it was designed to work.
Those shades were around way before foil and AC and they work pretty dammed good too.
