Replace incandescent light bulbs with compact flourescent ones. Flourescent lights have come a ways.

We use them, here.  But it's weird to watch a room get gradually brighter.

I like the compact florescent bulbs... they last forever a long time.

Good idea.  Yeah, we just switched over.  If anyone is interested, I would suggest the 100 watts because the 60's don't throw off much light.
