Let me say it straight out, I feel like I'm cheating with this response, but I wanted to try something different and new, all experimental-like. I must apologize in advance to TheRacket for taking his words and mangling them. You can tell which are his by the bolding. He is, as always, very good at what he does. To explain: What I've done is show how my brain first hits TheRacket's creativity. Juxtaposing my thoughts against his finished piece, showing you my brain's immediate response. This time, instead of then going out and trying to capture what I feel, I'm leaving you with just the thoughts and feeling. Color is so tasty. Sometimes, I ache with inadequasies when trying to describe them to someone. Anyway, here it is.

 

[sunfire passion] 
The darkest blues taste smoky. Smooth and mysterious like a heavy coffee.
twilight Anise black. Chocolate from the cacao beans, expensive, from

firedrop flower shadowy jungles far away. Thickly settling. A soup made of mushroom caps and pepper. Bold flavors wane in response to tongue’s and eye’s familiarity.
Mustn’t let man see every prism fold. To take up the mantle, honest earthy honey blossoms
claws through rock mountain peaks and suckles on tips of soft purple and gray.
just to embrace his blushing sky A blink and swallow, the palate is cleansed. White chicken bone with brilliant yellow yolk, fan warmly into joyful rose-milk.
day breaks Soaked pink fingers are exposed when the day arrives ready to bite into light.
