nostalgia that's for sure...this took me way back to when i was what? about 5 or 6. i remember coming home to my mom's home cooked meals boy could she cook. and she would always bake dessert. hardly ever did we have left overs. and my sister drove to and from school each day. i was the youngest and spoiled rotten. i used to love this song and i loved the sonny and cher show too. those were the days! this was a cool post. i am all smiles.
Maybe it's a bio-chip... oh, different topic, lol. Daryl Dragon.... they don't have good 70's names anymore. I could have been Patty Pixie, or Stella Star, Annie Aurora.... can you tell I have a cold and have been taking medicine?
you guessed it
here's how you can tell..
when watching a concert or video and the song sounds EXACTLY (tone for tone) as what you hear on the radio or recording
still..a great pop hit

(I'm working in reverse)
When are you going home? I tried moving to MD and I know what you mean.... I just moved home.
Goals.... when I get a job I'll think I'm productive- then I'll have some new goals...
It poured, much better weather now...
How many houses? How's that going?

I'll leave in 6 months, for I have so save up enough $$$ to travel home comfortably..
I have a VERY OLD dog and she's too frail to travel the 2500 miles without many stops and comfortable places to sleep at night.
there are enough houses here to work on to last a lifetime
"how's that going?"
putting the disaster aside..
Hypocrite Senator Vitter
Congressman "Cold Cash" Jefferson
ineptitude cronyism(?) nepotism corruption
list non-inclusive..
The people here DO NOT WANT others from "outside" to show them how to build correctly
or to rid themselves of corrupt officials (all the way down to the Sewer and Water Board)
--everywhere--
They just want ANOTHER hand out
and to be able to drink when and where they want

I've read your blog, Thia is a treasure. I have two canine treasures of my own, Montana is a Chow Chow and Taco is, well, a Chihuahua.... what else would she be with a name like Taco?
Six more months... wow.... that's a long time... do you get to travel around and see things, eat different places, enjoy the culture?
Hoo-boy, trouble in paradise, I'd hoped rebuilding was going a bit better than that. I'm not a big fan of corruption, I don't think anyone sane is... that is too bad, I am sorry.

Thia is a Belgian Malinois and the one "who walks with me"
I've been here a year now...
the "culture" is overrated. For I'm sure that there was a time when it was "rich" but now an afterthought or facade of it's former self. I doubt that there are many left who truely knew that that "culture" was.
Self-indulgence along with LOW productivity has yielded a malaise for civic involvement.
More "Jesus" less math and science
Want a sample? Go to Craigslist.org and find the Katrina Relief Forum and see the discussion threads.
sad and pathetic

A big woofy hug to Thia, I looked up a pic of her breed- I love shepherds, she looks a lot like one. My first dog was a shepherd... Delila...
I'll bet the culture is overrated, there will be a new culture now that the 'old' one is gone. I'm betting it won't be better.
More Jesus and less math and science? Specifically- your thoughts.
I read some of the posts, interesting. I didn't realize that it was that bad two years later.... I have to read some more.... but
I believe that people who are not educated (ok and some who are) do not know how to make the most of what they can get/have. As in those lottery winners you see on TV who have gone broke because they spent on all their money on foolishness.

the new culture is based on ignorance and self-indulgence. Oh, and don't forget an emphasis on sports.
Very little is left of the public school system here, most schools are either "charter" or faith-based private.
The charters teach what they want and hope the kids pass the "leap" tests(only 38%)
Virtually all the private schools are either Christian or Catholic, so no REAL science taught there.
What you make with your life is based on what you put into it. The American culture is now based on aggressive procurement of resources..
the perfect example is those commercials on TV that spout how to "increase wealth"..
it's done either by selling slock to idiot consumers or benefiting off the loss of others

LOL! Is she even playing the piano? And look at that Dorothy Hammill haircut!
I like "Muskrat Love" the best, though.
