Many part of the road in Kuala Lumpur were planted with a canopy tree, especially with a raintree species. Most of this tree were at least 10 years old to provide a good canopy coverage. With prudent pruning, most higher part of the tree trunk will also give a stunning pattern when you take a picture at a proper angle and direction.
