Next time say, "Hola, commo estas?" (Hi, how are you). And say "bueanas dias" I think that's similar to have a good day. Bueanas noches for evening/ night.
Does she do tutoring? I want to brush up on my Spanish before going to Spain/ Madrid.
As far as I know, she doesn't tutor.
I can photocopy some of my Spanish notes if you want some phrases to speak with her.
It's okay, I'm not really that interested in learning Spanish and she speaks English well enough for us to communicate effectively.
I only said that because sometimes people might get a kick if you try and greet them in their language.
