he is a cutie. bet it will take him less than a week to realize he is home and safe
I hope so. This is the first animal we have had come into our home that has been this scared. You can really tell the ol man never handled him, never worked with him on anything (leash, potty, behavior). In a round about way I am glad I was feeling sick yesterday and stayed home. I left the mudporch door open all day to the main part of the house and just talked to him. I made him go outside to be tied out and made him come into the living room and kitchen to socialize with the cats, birds, guine pigs, and me all day yesterday.
He still shakes and gets the hicups when he gets overaly scared or excited! But now at least he calms down at the sound of my voice! We gave him his first bath last night and now he looks a lot better. I might end up reporting the ol man to my cousin (my vet) when I take him in this week on my day off. The poor thing is missing a small chunk from his ear and is full of puppy tooth puncture scars on the rest of the ears.
Otherwise he is perking up a lil bit now due to the fact we are dog sitting for my parents for 2 weeks. He is use to dogs and we are hoping my parents dog (even though he is a small thing fully grown) will help to get him out of his shell.
the reason why i enjoy animals is because the things that would make us as people crack can be withstood by most animals. as he sees that his true family will do everything opposite of the jerk before you, his spirit will be freed from his past.
between the other animls and your kids he will find his happy
