Think Scathach is trying to contact me or WHAT!!!!!

Out of the litter of 6 kittens, there is this shadowy female with splots of cream on her face and front paw. As soon as she got her lil warrior personailty instantly Scathach or Scath came to mind. Normally I don't name my animals after Gods or Goddesses but this batch of kitties all got various culture Goddess names but the boys. And those boys got wolf mytholgy names from Rome!

Thus I named this lil female kitten Scathach. And low and behold the day Winter Solstice starts I find this article on BBC

An elderly woman has reported being attacked by a large cat in the Highlands.
Pat MacLeod, 74, from Ardross Road in Alness, told police she was injured by a 3ft-long cat while putting out her bins earlier this week.
Mrs MacLeod, who suffered deep cuts to her legs and cuts and scratches on her hands, needed stitches in hospital.
Police and Scottish Natural Heritage are trying to trace the cat, which has been described as grey coloured.
Mrs MacLeod said it was the second time she had been attacked by a cat outside her home and on this occasion the animal sprang at her as soon as she made eye contact.
'Shockingly strong'
She said the "shockingly strong" cat managed to drag her some distance and expressed concern about what might happen if a child encountered the animal.
Northern Constabulary said an unprovoked attack would be very uncharacteristic of a Scottish wildcat and suggested that the animal may be a hybrid of a domestic and feral cat.
A force spokesman said there had previously been sightings of big cats in the area, but no reports of attacks.
Police have advised anyone who sees a "unusually large" cat not to approach it or feed it.

Below is some general meanings and symbolism behind the Goddess Scathach. A few different verbal sources have informed me that the Highland Hills of Scotland and their people still speak about the Cat People. And how many folks believe that the clans associated with them are making a come back. What really got me going hmmmmmmmmm on top of the kitten and this story was the show Sanctuary! They have an "abnormal" as part of their crew from Scotland (i think or a Celt man who was orphaned as a child) that morphs into a Cat Creature. Or for those of you who need a little help aka Were Cat! Then on top of this I was bored a bit today and had DeLaney go up to one of my Smutt Book Cases and get me a book to read, she brings me the first book in a series about WereCats!

I think Scathach is trying to say dayumit woman get rid of the dogs and stick with cats! Work with me dayumit!

Scathach/Scota/Scatha/Scath Ireland, Scotland. "Shadow, shade"; "The Shadowy One"; "She Who Strikes Fear". Underworld goddess of the Land of Scath; Dark Goddess; goddess in the Destroyer aspect. Also a warrior woman and prophetess who lived in Albion (Scotland), probably on the Isle of Skye, and taught the martial arts. Patroness of blacksmiths, healing, magic, prophecy, martial arts.

And this is another few things I have on Scathach

Cats were of great significance to the Celtic people. In Scotland the Strwart Caln had the cat as a totem animal, and this totem covered the confederacy of a number of tribes, clans and families. Kataobh (‘Cat Country’) now known as Caithness is named after a pictish tribe the Kati (‘Cat People’). In one of the Irish otherworld voyages, a little cat is encountered as a guardian of treasure; in maintaining its watch, it turns into a flaming form, and leaping its way through a potential thief. Turns him to ashes. The cat is usually a female totem, dating back to ancient goddess worship. In this design, interwined triple felines indicate the symbolically significant mumber three which is most sacred to the Celts. Cats are said to have nine lives (nine os a multiple of three…).
