The idea that a certain people are chosen by some made up God and the fact that they are trying to "cleanse" the area this nonexistent God gave them is offensive to people who aren't superstitious murderers.
shouldn't they cleanse themselves then? Seriouslyif God is there for them and he takes care of nature wouldn't "he" do soemthing about the pigs if he wanted too?

It is true Meat is cheap now. I got A couple steaks and some chicken last night. I forgot to look at pork.
I would love to forget about buying pork. I get teased that one of my past lives I must have been a Muslim. I am not a big pork eater and say it tastes dirty. But I say that with chicken also. I have to be craving pork or chicken to want to eat it. I only buy pork and chicken cause of the hubby and kids.

the only legitimate argument for changing the name of swine flu would be to curb the misinformation people have attributed to eating pork and getting swine flu. that would be an economic reason, go for it. but for any of these other reasons, please...

Exactly that would be the only reason. But I still can't understand why people would want to call it something else. You can still eat pork. It is just a virus that starts within chickens, moved to pigs, and very rarely did this flu ever move to humans. This time it did.
I know a lot of Middle East Countries slaughtered every pig.
I believe they are in fact changing the name for that very reason.
Oh I know it just pos me though. Obtain knowledge and they wouldn't be so quick to do stupid ass things. But then a recent study I read either on one of the Mental Health Websites or a News site said if you use facts, figures, and truth to fight fundlementalist of any religion they are going to hang on tighter to their believes.
So either way those of us who are willing to see the other side of things get told we are "wrong" even when we are right. And people wonder what is wrong with this world!
