Okay this is a two day late update on Ju Jitsu.....but hey its been one of those weeks!

Thursday evening was the start of my daughter's soccer practice and I had to run to good ol Wally World to buy shin guards, safety cones, and a soccer ball.  I am going to be a new soccer mom.  Literally!  I never played soccer, unless you count maybe one or two games in PE class back in school.  Oh well as long as my kids are playing some sport I really dont' care.  We are still waiting to hear from my son's coach on when his practice starts.

Anyway after soccer practice the whole family went to the YMCA, to Ju Jitsu.  We started Ju Jitsu at the beginning of August.  Who would have thought my ol many actually enjoys going!  I had a hard time at the beginning of the month doing front rolls, back rolls, and the front falls on to my toes and forearms.  By the second week I had the front rolls.  Hey! I wasn't a cheerlearder in school!  I was a pure jock!  :P

And finally on the last day of August class, I managed to get a back roll or two in!:D  I am so proud of my self!  I even managed to figure out the spinning back kick.  Look fucked up doing it!  But I figured it out!  Now if only I can get the front falls down.  Sensi says I am getting it but he knows I am real leary of hitting my knees on the ground even if it is padded.  Especially since I had total reconstructive surgery on my left knee my sophmore year of highschool and was told then that I needed my right knee done probably done in 6 years.  Both my knees are fuckered because I have put of going to an orthopedic doctor.  I was out of pretty much all activities for a full year when I had my left knee done (ACL, cartilege, legiments running up and down both my calf and thigh, bone spurs taken out, pins put in, and a hole drilled in my thigh to get some other major bone spures taken out!).  And in truth my right knee was my first problem, I had it scoped my 8th grade year after track season to remove a peice of bone chip from my knee cap!  So just imagine the damage that is currently in my right knee after many years of putting off the doctor!  My left knee after almost 10 years of not being as active as I once was is not in much better shape.  The ACL is still going strong but the other ligements are shot!

I didn't do so hot this week in the email buddy program my sister and I have been doing on weighing in once a week and going to the gym or staying active.  What we are doing is, weighing in on Mon or Tues.  emailing our current weight to each other and once a day email our activites to each other.  I did Ju Jitsu on Monday and Thursday; but did nothing else last week because I was crampign so bad I was just in a bad mood.  I know I know!  No, excuse using the whole female moon cycle thing but dayumit the women out there understand.  You get moody, tired, crampy, bloated, and down right irritable.  It was safer for me not to hit the gym!

But on the up note!  I did more then my sister!  She didn't go to the gym once nor did she walk to get her kids from school!  So I am still ahead of her on weight and inches being lost!  Yay!

Anyway that is it for now.  It is a cold, rainy day here and not much to do.  No money for Labor day so stuck again at home.  Oh well!
