Wow. I'm half the news! Thanks Adam for all the attention. You made me blush with this. We'll invite you, and other Mindsay friends, to the wedding, hehe.
I think that it will take another couple of years for online relationships that turn romantic to become more widely accepted. With all of the dating websites that are around now it will be less taboo. Luckily, both families (at least the family members that know) have been open minded and accepting.
By the way, you spelled Jakerad wrong.

that would be awesome, I'd love to go if I can make it

Psh! If you can go? You inadvertently played match maker! You should go. Besides that you'd miss the Mindsay sponsored open bar!
Yeah, I was the one that pointed that out to him. Though, the title in my inbox, and the comments, still says Jakedrad.

Over-achieving and prank-playing are one path to enlightenment..
On a more serious note, any advice for Mindsay's newest couple?

umm... don't move in with him if he has a male roommate.
and... don't move 2000 miles across country in a thunderbird with two cats.

We've been starting a very good habit that any healthy, long lasting relationship needs - talking about problems instead of ignoring them. Bad for sleep, good for the relationship.
ya know, that's what intrepid28 and i did right off the bat. he had been married with a wife who lied and cheated on him, then said she was leaving but wouldn't even tell him why. i had been through a bad long-term relationship where my ex had also cheated and lied. i think we both learned a LOT about that... and like you said, we have a very healthy and happy relationship.
more power to ya!

I think the 200 + comments on one entry helped us out quite a bit. I've been lied to and cheated on so I know that feeling.
I don't know if I can find something more witty to say than what Jake said. Damn!

Plus it helps when I make her all gooey by asking (on a daily basis) "what can I do to make you happy today?" She wins. I win.
But we'll probably tug on your shirt sleeves once in a while to... well, bug you because we're so bored of our perfect relationship haha

It's so much easier to do than years ago. While it's always good to be smart about talking to people online, there's so many different ways to make contact and have as close of a physical interaction without having one.
"There are those that look at things the way they are, and ask why? I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?"

Of course I have to reply. Back in '03, at least half the Mindsay community knew about this anyway.
I met a member here at Mindsay online --- we met on another site, and both decided to start blogging at Mindsay. Well, things were happy for awhile yes, but I was too young to make the right choices in life. I mean, I was fifteen. That governed a lot of what happened. We blogged on here together for about 3 years and once our relationship came to an end, the blog got deleted.
This is the blog that got deleted.
I carefully went through it and combed out all of the "bad" to make it my own again.
Although I wish them the best I do have to say, from my experiences, I would never try an online relationship ever again! Not for me! Not until I know them so much better (so take that advice PLEASE!). Get to know the person you know online in person before you take things further! It can save a heart ache!
Of course someone had to add some negativity to this piece.

My boyfriend and I met on Mindsay too! We didn't tell our parents at first how we met (we're twenty years old) but now that we've known each other for 3 + years and my parents have met him and I have met his parents, our relationship is very accepted. He's seriously the love of my life. Isn't it strange how things worked out? (I swore against online relationships my whole life, but I just couldn't resist him once I met him).
Mindsay will be sponsoring the open bar at any potential weddings, right Adam? Hey, maybe one of us has a cute single cousin for you to dance with at a reception.
haha sure, so long as I can give a drunken toast and reminisce about "the good ole' days of MindSay"
The only cousins I have that are legal are males. If you want to wait about ten years then my next oldest cousin will finally be legal.
Jake and I were talking tonight about this and I thought it might be fun to have some sort of old news section to reminisce about what was going on around Mindsay a few years back.
