Amen !!! my indoor only cat lives a blissfully safe life and is very very happy and our back yard is filled with birds.
Yes, our cats "Love" to watch the birds from their favorite window in the condo. We built a cat perch onto the windowsill for them. Now and then a bird will fly over to playfully tease... the cats get a kick out of that!
I "love" your new picture!

I love when she starts to chitter chatter in excitement. and the tails starts thumping. Mine has a tree near a window and several shelf perches too.
Yes, I know what you mean! Funny how they are entertained by watching the birds, and we are entertained by watching our cats, (and dogs.) I once was staying at a cabin rental for a week! The people that owned the cabin let their cat outdoors alone, and I spotted it with a "bird in it's mouth!" I gently approached it, and thankfully it did not run off! I removed the bird from it's mouth, and it did not move at first! I thought it was dead or wounded, but it was actually in shock! I lay it down where the cat could not reach it, and in about five to seven minutes, I was "Stunned" to see it fly off, perfectly unharmed! That little cat, obviously just wanted to see if she could catch the bird, but thankfully was not hungry, and even more thankfully, did not bite down on it! My cockapoo pooch, picks up goffers in the same gentle way! Just to play with them! They know her, and are not at all afraid of her! It is quite amazing! They are friends!
Abster usually comes when I call her but one morning she would not budge from the dining room where she ever so regally sat. I kept watching her and she was sitting on a moth. when i moved her, the moth fly away through a door I opened for it. Abi whined. gotta love such gentle torturers.
Them "Crazy Meowers!" Catiga somehow got himself up to the top of my closet, and behold... there he was with his "little whisker puss" sticking out from under one of my hats! It was a cowboy hat!
