Simply said shall suffice:  On a warm sunny Sunday morn while working in my garden, here in Qingdao on the coast of China, Zhou Li brought me a gift of three hand-written poems. The first, she told me, is by an English poet. The other two are her recent works.

FALLING SNOW

The snow whispers about me

And my wooden clogs

Leave notes behind me in the snow

But no one will pass this way

Seeking my foot steps.

And when the temple bell rings again

They will be covered gone.  [sic; presented as written]

Some one on your mind

Some one in your eyes

Some one in your heart

Some one passed by you  [like a blind; struck out]

          never see.

Our Love has no Spring.

Yes, Our Love has no Spring.

It passed by Summer, by Autum, by winter

Only you Spring, you and I we have a date.

Then I can lay in your arms forget myself

     with inebrtation and sweet.

You give me green willows, give peach blossom.

You give me Yulan  [?] give me cherry blossom

You give me full eyes of green . also

   soft petting.

   Loving you Spring .

My favorite Lover .              [sic: presented as written]
