When the Moon is Waxing - that is going from New to Full - the water levels on earth - seas, rivers and underground sources - are Rising. This is the time to plant, especially leafy crops and crops that require lots of water. Because of the increasing water supply, leaves and fruits can thrive. It is also the time to work on healing, growth, and prosperity. Visualizing and working on goals is a wonderful focus for the Waxing Moon. When the Moon is Full, the gravitational pull between the Moon on one side of the earth and the Sun on the other has a great affect on our own bodily water levels, as well as the earth's.
