4.  I dug the whole crew, but I was pleasantly surprised by Karl Urban's performance as Leonard "Bones" McCoy.

Yeah, Bones was awesome.  He was an audience favorite.  Overall, I thought the casting was surprisingly good.

I remember the first one, one of my favorite episodes, but not the second one.

My parents and my brother watched Star Trek faithfully. I remember being so annoyed by it. But often I watched too, since we often had pizza or Taco bell to sit in front of the tv that night for Star Trek, and I found myself as I got older, missing it! I remember many episodes that were favorites, The God one, with a Greek looking God, and another of my very favorites, was when they were on the planet that had people getting sick and it made them get younger, I believe. I can picture the girl and the guy in my head, but I don't remember a whole lot, but I loved it.

Well, I for one, loved the new relationship between them.  It was unexpected, but as you say not a stretch, and it was well done, they didn't take it too far...yet

What is it about those strong, silent, emotionally unavailable types =)
