and if all three o' you got it..there's things you can structure better in your house that will benefit all three of you
She's exactly like I was at her age in regards to just being absent-minded and in la-la land -- she may be even worse than I was. Poor kid.
My brother has ADHD and my grandmother swore my dad had it.
I had her tested in the 2nd grade because I was waiting for the deslexic testing. She will have to be re tested up here this year but luckily they found none of MY ADD in her but they found boarder line deslexia and both her father's and mine high intelligence levels. Which causes her to be rather bored with any "normal" class room learning. She fails if she doesn't have the pressure, she fails if it is something easy because she gets distracted. Her teacher last year didn't believe anythign we told her and thoguht we were to hard on DeLaney until the Standarized testing came around! DeLaney's first year of testing and she had the 20-30 minute test done in less then 5 minutes! She scored above National Average on everything including her reading and spelling where she struggles!
I was able to finally point out and have the teacher believe me that my daughter retains information very well, but I am not going to hold it against her if she doesn't get good grades. She tests well, she does well in projects, and she is a hands on learner. I know my daughter so back off of her when she freaks otu a lil bit with the boring class room stuff!
I feel there are a lot of parents that rush to put the kids on the drugs when it is simply a small change of schedule, diet, and behavor.
I think your mini me will respond to the natural ways because like you said she doesn't have behavor problems!
