Congrats Proud Mama! Your daughter probably faired better with her public speaking today than I did. When do we hear about the oscar buzz?

LOL! As long as she thanks her mama before she thanks the Academy.
I was surprised that she didn't see the audience and freak out.
Gee, you're a proud momma, aren't you? She's absolutely precious! Now, you must start looking for the perfect dress to accompany her to the Oscars/GG's
You might want to go with Josie, as her daughter is up for best little miss in a Drama

Who knows. They'll probably both be up for best actress, but Emma may also be up for best original song or screenplay. She's loves to make up songs and stories.
what a doll!!! She's gorgeous, and the whole not being nervous thing.....I am always amazed at how some kids just have what it takes. My son was that way in 1st/2nd grade until we moved to a new city and he had some old battle axe who pretty much extinguish his enthusiasm. I have him directing a class play before that happened, and it is just so sweet when they show that enthusiasm and confidence.
Aww thanks. It's a shame you have some teachers who totally snuff out our children's natural curiosity and sense of self-accomplishment. Shame on her!
yeah, unfortunately, I found out too late. We were new to the community, and when I met other parents and told them who he had, they immediately asked "Is he ok?"..... here I find out later that she use to tie kids to chairs, back hand them, etc, etc.........and I was furious that she was even still teaching! She never physically hurt him *to my knowledge* but she sure damaged his self esteem.
Jesus christ on a cross! That girl is SO cute. My god, when I see your little girl, or sifa 's kids, I just go ape shit! I normally am NOT a kid person, unless I know the parents. Then I cannot get ENOUGH. Your little girl is definitely going to be somebody. Shes magnetic and bold without being like HEY! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME NOW! She just naturally stands out and makes an impression. Odd question, but i'm always so curious about this, I think someone discussed this on their blog before but, did you name her after someone, or did you just like the name?
Emma is named after my husband's mother who passed away before we met. I wanted her to have a connection to her paternal grandmother. Her middle name, Kathryn is a family name on my mother's side.
Thanks for the compliments about my little one. She has a very magnetic personality and she's very popular at her school. Her popularity makes me popular amongst her school friends. Today kids kept asking, "Are you Emma's momma?" One little boy just kept staring at me like I was an alien or something.
She is absolutely beautiful... And I look for a post about that little boy asking her out in about oh - 10 - 12 years.
