When is ren fest?
If it's in the next couple of months, I have a feeling
the "fairy-like" image might be difficult to achieve.
When I think of fairys, it doesn't include a beach
ball hiding under their dresses... I'm just saying...
Too late! I'm already showing! I'm going to be some version of a fertility fairy / mother Earth thingy. That's why I chose the empire waist dress. It will accommodate my rounded belly.
Ren Fest is this month and next month. It starts the third week of October.

Ok, I can see the Mother Earth thingy - a very fertile Mother Earth.
Hmmm... I was just thinking... a green leaf crown... Holly maybe??
Holly's a very old sysmbol of protection.
Definitely go with the armbands. I'm thinking white tulle, and silver ribbons. If your pregnant feet will accommodate, I see silver strapped shoes with the strings that wrap around your calf. If you can't find them that will fit you'd always attach the ribbon yourself and make it look like the other ones. Also a silver wand with lots of silver ribbon, and a string to hang it around your wrist when you inevitably get tired of carrying it. Definitely a headband of some sort. You know that silver wire that usually comes with stars or something attached? You might be able to use that to make a headband. I'm not good with costumes, but looking at your picture from last year gave me some ideas.

Flip flops! hahahaha Wrap some ribbon around your calves and glue it to the back of the flip flops (or the bottom of your heel so it looks like it's attached to the shoe!!! haha
glitter, baby! and silver tulle....you can get body glitter, too....you need lots of silver ribbons entwined in a leafy (ivy) head piece...
you can probably leave off embroidering *ye babye on boarde*, tee hee!
LOL! "Ye babye on boarde"!
I love the tulle idea. I especially like it because tulle is pretty inexpensive!

Oh I can definitely see some thin green (for the nature) stripes flowing down with the bottom half, and some gold across the 'V' on top! LOTR like!
I did some really extensive looking-around on Flickr, and I saw a lot of empire waist dresses being worn, but they all pretty much had the same bottom: the lower part of the dress covered by a skirt with multi-colored slats. Your armbands and holly would make it fairy-like AND different, because pretty much every fairy just glittered herself up and threw some wings on. I like where you're going with your ideas, they're different than the usual fairies. But blech at the glitter, though. LOL We both know what a nightmare that is to get rid of.
*thinks back to Emma's art project*
*thinks back to Emma's art project*I'm going to do some more research, but I think I have come up with the color scheme of dark gold and green. I think it will look "earthy".
