Pet Peeve No. 4267

People who have no sense of humor what-so-ever. . .

Now I understand that there are some disorders that make it hard to understand when someone is joking or when someone is being serious, but for the most part I am talking about people who are otherwise "normal" for lack of a better word who will hear something you say or read something you write and take it at face value no matter how absurd it is.  

Even if you hear something someone says that you don't think is particularly funny, MOST of us know that the person isn't being serious.  For example, Environgirl and I have this running gag that we got from some comedian we can't remember.  If I we see each other doing something like completing a crossword puzzle in pen or going out to the mailbox without taking the time to put a bra on under our clothes, we'll say something like "Girl you are living on the edge! You are running with the scissors!"  Some people without a sense of humor would question why we find those things so edgy.  I can't stand that!
