Me neither. These guys have been expounding on their beliefs, plans, hopes, etc., etc. for two years. Anybody who hasn't made up their mind by now should probably not be burdened with the responsibility of voting (those only recently emerged from prolonged comas excepted).

LMAO! You're so right!

you cant imagine how nice it is to live in a country where election news is all of 3 minutes and then on to stuff you dont catch in the US, like landslides killing thousands, fires buring half a country, you know the stuff that never ever is important enough to be seen in the US.
I can imagine. I actually look at BBC news because I want to know what's going on in the world.
During hurricane Ike, I had my little battery powered t.v. tuned into BBC because all of the local news just showed stuff about the hurricane. I found out about AIG and the mortgage crisis from BBC news.

ohhhh BBC, Turkey just shut down BBC because there was a report on the PKK that showed Turkey in a bad light. I was so angry about that, not just cause I love bbc but because how dare they just shut off a major channel I already paid for. And they also block youtube, someone posted a joke video on Ataturk being gay so poof all over now! I really get so fed up with the lack of freedom here.
my job, I am exec. director of an international non profit that aids people with cystic fibrosis. We work mostly in developing countries and for the next four years will concentrate on the balkans, middle east and India so Turkey is the perfect location. But, it can be difficult to be a woman in an islamic country and also live with the rules or should I say restrictions.
Oh I know. I have some friends who moved to Bahrain and lived there for almost 20 years. They would come to the States often, but I remember it was a hell of an adjustment at first and Bahrain is supposed to be a more liberal country than most of the countries in the Middle East.
I couldnt go that deep into the middle east and live, this is on the edge and very modern islam in most areas. Its the all around view of women and how the women view themselves that is hard to take. When i first came here I didnt think it would matter, but it does.
I watch Russian news.
By the way, I don't believe you. You're probably watching the pre-debate shows right now!!!

I think I'm just going to rent some movies, buy some cheap wine and enjoy myself.
Uh...you should do that every night, regardless.

I will be in class, unless she lets us out early. Which I doubt, since we have a speaker on top of our usual lecture format. So, I'll be missing it as well. Maybe we're better off in the dark? Not like we're going to miss anything we haven't already heard. McCain's old, Obama's a terrorist. The economy is in the shitter. Whatever.

No kidding! I'd much rather sit in on your guest speaker's lecture.

You might enjoy it actually.....she's from our Children's Service Society, so it's going to be something about what she does there, helping kids, counseling kids, things like that. It definitely would be better. 'cept I couldn't make a drinking game out of it.
