I did with one of them, yes. It served as a lovely winter choral gown the following year. <smile> But the others...nuh-uh.
ONE of the gowns was almost a gray satin with off white lace overlay. It was the most horrible thing. LOL Oh sigh.

Lucky you! It's good you were able to reuse such a costly investment.
Oh dear, gray with lace overlay sounds horrible. Yikes!
I'm listening to this song, and it has a bridesmaid dress feel to it.
A torn dress, black and white tights, and sneakers, break dancing. LOL I dont know why it makes me think of that, but it does. Just thought i'd share. Heh.

I was just a bridesmaid for the first time....I hope I'll be able to wear my dress again but I fear it'll only be if I'm at something fairly formal. Even though it was the basic black dress, it was still kinda fancy to wear just "out". Who knows though....
Basic black seems like something you can wear again. Actually I've been lucky enough to not have to wear a hideous bridesmaid dress, but I haven't been to a formal gathering where I could wear them again. Most of my formal galas are sorority related so I have to wear either royal blue or white (the sorority colors) or black.
It's hard to find something you can wear again, no matter how simple it is. If you're like me, you don't do formal stuff unless you have to, so my chances of wearing it again are smaller than most, lol. I could probably wear it to another wedding or for a formal work fundraiser we do every year, but other than that....I'm not sure the dress will ever see its way out of my closet again!

baby blue strapless dress with a short train in the back and beaded across the chest around to the back
used it for prom senior year
cost me 10 bucks htough cuz i picked it up from goodwill lol
needless to say the marriage ended in divorce after 2 years any way.
I have! My friend, mamachameleon (Jenn), picked some awesome dresses that can be worn again -- something between casual and formal.
Lucky! I always feel like it's a shame that I've shelled out about $150 bucks for each of those dresses and have never been able to wear them again. Of course I am more than likely too fat to wear them at this point.
Too bad. Yeah, Jenn also bought the dresses for us. She was extremely thoughtful! Last September was the first time I was a bridesmaid, too. I was very happy. I even told her I'd wear pill box pink for her if I had to, but instead we did tye dye blue dresses from Fashion Bug! It was a very hippie wedding.
Thanks, Val. I hope you do wear it again. I'm thinking of going to my sister's house and grabbing hers so I have something cool to wear on extremely hot days like today.
No kidding! It's humid and hot up here, too. Looks like you guys got a lot more rain as well. I heard there is major flooding going on in Milwaukee over the weekend. I pretty much slept through most of it. Rachael gave me a call! I think I'll wear the dress again tomorrow... !
