• Back in the late 90's I was totally addicted to an online game called ACROPHOBIA.  Does anyone remember that game?  It was on www.berzerk.com and then it went away.  I found it again about two and a half years ago on www.uproar.com and now it's gone.  *Sigh* I really miss that game!

  • I feel sooooo pretty.  I ordered a pink satiny kimono / robe from AVON. I look great in it if I do say so myself.  The only thing I'm missing is candlelight and some cheap Arbor Mist wine.  I'm thinking passion fruit would be the flavor of the night.

  • My funk is lifting, but now I find that my patience is running thin.  I'm trying really hard not to bite anyone's head off, but some of the bull that has been going this week at home and on Mindsay is really getting on my nerves. Have you ever had one of  those days when you had to hold back tears of frustration because you couldn't just punch a muthafucka in the throat?  Also, I think the internet is to some people what the yellow sun is to Superman. I know that was a nerdy analogy, but hey, I'm kind of a nerd myself.

  • I went to another sneak preview with torridgirl and environgirl tonight. It was a sneak preview of the movie Stardust.  It was a pretty good movie.  Robert Di Niro was hysterical as a gay pirate.

I remember acrophobia!  I didn't play it alot but I played it!  Sweety I know where your funk is steeming from it is being home after working.  Regardless of how it may seem when a person works and always wishes they could be home, it doesn't always feel the greatest after being home after so many weeks.  Hell I am home going on 8 years (after trying to work again this year) and I am still not use to being home!  I loved working and boom I was home again!

It gets better I promise.  Just let the hubby and kidlette know that Mommy is happy about spending more time with them but they need to understand that Mommy isn't use to this and now has to find her footing again and may be snappy!

And go with the Sangria for the Arbor Mist!  I love it!

Keep your chin up hun!:X

Thanks hun, I think you're right.  I definitely have had a lot of time to think ruminate over the situation.

I hope you feel better about things soon.  I know how depressing it can be to be out of work, out of sorts etc. Its awful!  I certainly would never wish it on anyone who is used to working.  I honestly think it could drive some folks mad.

Arbor Mist rocks, but don't forget our 2 old friends - grape Mad Dog and strawberry Boone's Farm!

Never heard of the game.

The kimono sounds adorable...I'd have to slightly upgrade from the Arbor Mist though.

I'm glad to hear that your funk is lifting, very good news.  I still think about looking at the quartz and both of us saying at the same time that it looked like Superman's home, LOL.

Have you ever had one of  those days when you had to hold back tears of frustration because you couldn't just punch a muthafucka in the throat?  Oh yeah.  Days, weeks, months and years of that kind of frustration.

I adore kimonos.  They're just the best things to lounge in.  I have a silk one from Hong Kong (gift), a real cotton one from Japan, and a real, honest-to-goodness handmade formal one from ebay.  I'd love to have the obi and underclothes to wear the real one to some formal do!

No Arbor Mist in the house, but I have a Rieslling that's chilled and ready to go!

Re: Musings and Ramblings
I want a real kimono. I wonder if they make plus-sized kimonos? LOL! eBay is such a wonderful way to shop.  My gawd the money I've spent on jewelry and rocks alone should make me faint.

Is Rieslling a cheap flavored wine? I have a terribly unsophisticated pallate and I only like sweet, fruit flavored wines. I will occasionally drink a mid-range priced merlot.

Re: Musings and Ramblings
Unfortunately, trad kimonos of a formal nature tend to be made for the usual Japanese woman.  They tend to be slim and petite, damn them!  (and no, being half-Japanese has not made me slim and petite)  A size 14 w/small boobs is pushing it.

Riesling is a grape from Germany, I believe.  It is white and fruity.  I've had light ones, heavily sweet ones and kind of bitter ones.  I'm with you on fruity.  I hate Chardonnay!  I like white zins as well if they're not too biting.  Blue Nun is a nice Riesling if you want to look for it.  I have found it at the supermarket.
