Nah, I wanted to put Fire (as in a Fire Mage) as my username but that was taken. I figure 'Water' was good because it's the opposite of Fire.

Have you read any Tamora Pierce books? (I'm guessing not, because generally girls read those books) Elemental Mages are pretty cool.

I haven't read those books but I am seriously missing out on some good reading material.  Do you recommend those books?

Mist, funny, still not an element in its own right though, lol. Yes, I'd start with Alana the Lioness quartet series, move onto Protector of the Small quartet series and then Trickster's Choice series. It goes in order. Though you could read Trickster's Choice before Protector of the Small. It is more a series for girls but there's heaps of battles so it's reasonably interesting.

The Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce is the one with elemental mages.

If you like lots of action go for Robin Hobb's 'Assassin's Apprentice' trilogy. Lots of fighting in that one. Though it does take longer to read.
