things have worked out in an interesting way at work.
the program director that i have regular friction with never found anyone willing to take that potentially violent hab client, so he lost his funding for "home/ community /hab time"... which opened up an avenue of funding for him to attend the atf another day out of the week.
so, not only is my guilt assuaged (because no one else would take this potentially explosive case, either), but he's going to get more routine, and not to sound harsh, but it will make or break the situation. right now, we're limping along, because it's "only one day a week," but now he's going to be coming on a busier day, when shawn won't be able to consistently shepard him around, making sure he's only violent with him. if he can't get his impulse control in check quickly, he'll end up having to leave the program; hopefully that won't happen, and the added reinforcement will be a move towards progress.
