The Phillies have lost a lot of steam when the Mets came into town last week. The Mets on the other hand gained steam with the Phillies and the 2 out of 3 with the Yankees. However, that last game with the Yanks was a huge heartbreaker...
while these 2 are duking it out, Washington seems like the '69 Mets, winning while no one takes them seriously, and the BRAVES are coming into their own and scaring the pants off of me again.
Let's hope the Marlins can do something tonight. (I have to pick my poisons)
Not bad.
I think they'll be able to do a deal. Frank Robinson is going for manager of the year.
He is a wet dish rag. Remember the Marlins/San Fran world series a couple of years ago? My fondest memory was of Pudge Rodriguez running over the Giants catcher and scoring at home and then next inning, gets run over himself, but holds on to the ball and really gives the base runner an "in your face!!!" job.
Thats what a catcher should be all about. Guts, leadership, swagger.... BALLS!!!!
Unfortunately Lieberthal is all too representative of what this Phillies team is all about.
thanks for letting me blow off some steam.... see you on the radio
