The weekend Redsox series was a total nightmare for the fightin Phils.. 1 Run in the first 2 games then 12-8 loss in the finale... 49% of the fans at citizens bank park were Sox fans, and they rubbed it in the faces of the home town fans.

Hopefully they can turn it around before the break starting with the Mets series.

I hope they turn it around too!  Detroit got spanked on Sunday too.  At least they finally scored 7.  Too little too late though.

He's doing great!  He has a single in one at bat already tonight.  I hope we beat the White Sox.  We need to make up some ground in the Central.  How's Urbina doing?

I think he'll fit in nicely, it's tough for closers to get acclamated to a new team since they don't play as much as fielders.

i think that they will turn it around. especially after yesturdays game, they did give effort and try the game. but i wasnt happy with the pitching and batting afterwards. they put more effort into yesturdays game than they did for the other to, well i think so anyways.

ROUND 2 tonight Big John.

The Phillies have lost a lot of steam when the Mets came into town last week.  The Mets on the other hand gained steam with the Phillies and the 2 out of 3 with the Yankees.  However, that last game with the Yanks was a huge heartbreaker...

while these 2 are duking it out, Washington seems like the '69 Mets, winning while no one takes them seriously, and the BRAVES are coming into their own and scaring the pants off of me again.

Let's hope the Marlins can do something tonight.  (I have to pick my poisons)

If Washington can get league approval to make 1 or possibly 2 deadline deals they definitely have at least the Wild Card.   That's a big "if" though.

as far as I've read, Washington is making MLB a $20 million profit at the very least.

Not bad.

I think they'll be able to do a deal.  Frank Robinson is going for manager of the year.

Can you believe Lieberthal dropped the ball at home plate?!?!?

He is a wet dish rag. Remember the Marlins/San Fran world series a couple of years ago? My fondest memory was of Pudge Rodriguez running over the Giants catcher and scoring at home and then next inning, gets run over himself, but holds on to the ball and really gives the base runner an "in your face!!!" job.

Thats what a catcher should be all about. Guts, leadership, swagger.... BALLS!!!!

Unfortunately Lieberthal is all too representative of what this Phillies team is all about.

thanks for letting me blow off some steam.... see you on the radio
