I am having a real hard time these days listening to Glenn Beck, who has the entire world blowing up and Rush who keeps saying that everything is a lie and we are just fine.  If I had 450 million I too would be fine.  Is is me or has the entire brain dead country understand that we don't make anything, we buy.  The stuff we make, you cannot buy, examples:

When was the last time you were on a used F-18 fighter lot.
Have you ever seen a for sale sign on an ICBM.
I don't see Boeing setting up new plane lots.
Have you ever tried to get this year's model Nuclear Submarine.

We get to build them then buy debt to pay for them then work to pay taxes to pay for them.  Then we get to work for our own needs, not wants.

I really believe that we have lots of very smart people in the country that want nothing to do with our government and when those people finally realize that they out number all the cops in America and all the Military we are in real trouble.  There are enough guns and people to say enoughs enough.

I don't have 132 billion to help a company that paid employees millions in pay,  I don't have money to do anything our current government and the new one to pay for anything they want to do.  So what do I do?  What do my kids do?  I think we are really starting to look like 18th Century France, and they have never recovered.

Any thoughts anyone

No thoughts, cause I give up too...just don't understand where we are headed.  But I voted (for this blog)!

The U.S. is on the brink of a financial meltdown and most don't understand the dilemma because education and independent thinking are not our strong suits. The nation is so deeply in debt that I believe the figure would be $175,000 from each of us in order to pay down the debt. And it is getting worse.

Individuals, as a whole, have a negative savings rate. I remember reading all kinds of Wall Street gobbledegook about why the negative saving is not an issue. Right. Well, it's an issue now.
