This is a colorful idea.

Rainbow Roses - Amazing "Happy Flowers" (GALLERY)

What a gorgeous idea! Peter van de Werken of River Flowers, a Netherlands Company, has perfected a unique technique for changing each petal of a single rose (my favourite flower) to a different colour. Colours can be strongly contrasting (you may need sunglasses to look) or in subtle shades. They are not spraypainted, they grow while absorbing natural dye pigments through the stem. Choose the colours you want, mix and match a great addition to wedding themes or romantic personal tastes.

The roses themselves open up easily and last a long time although the leaves do suffer from dryness. The Roses were first presented to the public at the international Hortifair in Amsterdam and
they were an instant hit!  Madonna, amongst others, was one of the first celebrities to be presented with a bunch of gleaming Rainbow Roses.

This revolutionary Flower innovation, has been presented in the UK as a new Development in the Flower Business, and now includes other blooming Varieties besides Roses.
A single stem is being sold for $6.

They have been dubbed “The Happy Flower” on a website of a similar name, the fact that they are so bright and cheerful is enough to make you feel “Happy”!

Please, Colour my world with the Beautiful, the Amazing, Rainbow Rose!

How are things going with you, Ms. Jo?  Hope you are doing well....when are you planning your next trip?

And I enjoyed the Monday morning email thingy from torridgirl...cute!

Re: What will they think of next?
It was a hoot, wasn't it? We had to play it several times. torridgirl is talking about the possibility of moving to Portland in a year or two. Yikes! I'm not thrilled with the idea but since she supports me, I guess I will go if she does. I just hope she gets over the notion. I don't have any trips planned specifically but have friends who want me to come visit soon.  Since I just recently returned from Alabama I am enjoying my time at home for now. I am doing pretty good, just having a hard time staying awake these days. The dr. gave me a new med that is kicking my booty.

How's the world treating you Bonnie?

Re: What will they think of next?
What is her interest there, if I may ask?

I am glad that you are doing well, but that sleepiness will kill you...can you take something to counter attack that?  like caffeine pills or something...lol?

Anyway, I guess it is about as good as it is going to be this side....not too chipper, but just living from day to day.  His job is going out and I feel the same way as you about going to Utah, but we will see if we end up going and how it will be.

Re: What will they think of next?
No caffeine for me Bonnie. I have another condition that requires me to be caffeine-restricted. So I guess I'm darned if I do, darned if I don't.

I think I would prefer Utah to Oregon. Maybe. I am a Texan, born and bred. I love to travel and sight-see but I always want to come home.

Re: What will they think of next?
Is Utah sort of like Texas in the fact that they are both arid?  I do not know much about geography at all, having been raised in South Africa...what would you not like about Oregon?

And I know caffeine is not good for me, but helps me keep these late hours i do, and then i sometimes have to do a downer...an over the counter sleepy thing to fall asleep...my bad...

Re: What will they think of next?
My problem with Oregon is how far away it is from the rest of my family here in Texas. I don't know alot about Utah either. Just that it is closer to Texas than Oregon is. I don't want to go there either.

Re: What will they think of next?
That is my only problem with moving as well.  My family.  But the Lord knows best, dear and will make a way when there seems to be no way.

Re: What will they think of next?
You are so right Bonnie. Actually, I seem to be being led in the direction of Alabama. They have a much better health care system there than Houston does. My sister wants me to move there really bad but I would hate to leave my daughter. Even if she moves to Portland. We get along so well.

Blessings!

Re: What will they think of next?
Do you think she would consider moving to A?

Re: What will they think of next?
No, she has absolutely no desire to go there. She used to talk of England. Glad she got past that one. I want her to be happy but don't want her so far away. Whether I go with her somewhere else or she goes alone, it's important to me that she follows her own dream though.

Re: What will they think of next?
Good for you, Ms Jo; that is unselfish love.

Re: What will they think of next?
Considering she supports me, it is something I would have to really work out for myself, if she does choose to go. God will make a path where there seems to be none though, right?

Re: What will they think of next?
Yes, he provides every time; maybe not always in the ways we feel, but in his way, in his time.  Would you be able to manage, or will you just pack and go if she leaves?

Re: What will they think of next?
She and her friend tenatively plan a trip out there in Oct. to check it out for themselves. I pray that I will have something worked out before a final decision is made. I have been trying to get S.S. Disability for two years now. I just keep reapplying. I'm told to get an atty but I'ed rather not do that.

Re: What will they think of next?
I will pray about your situation, but do not understand the word atty...will you explain, please?
mamajo on
Re: What will they think of next?
atty is the abbreviation for attorney. Thank you for the prayers.

Blessing to you and yours Bonnie.
