                       The Two Wolves

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a debate that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compasssion and faith. "

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed".

Re: Story of two wolves,
This is a good analogy and so true....good versus evil.  Paul said that that which he would do he did not and that that he would not, he did.  And it is so in all of us, but if we meditate on the law of the Lord day and night, then Psalm one promises that our leaf will not wither and that we will prosper.  Sorry that I am not quoting that exactly but I do not have it open with me...

But when we meditate, or feed, as you say on that good, it is the good that will grow.  If we neglect the spiritual man it will wither and our carnal man will grow fat and forget Godly things.

Thank you for the reminder.
