coolness!
Some of us may see it. I am going to have my eyes donated to a person who then must update them and keep them passed oin for the eyes are the wondow to the soul.
I hope I remember to look for this!
How are you?
Just got home from a three week stay with my sister in Mobile, Ala. Had a wonderful time and got to see some sights. Also, they took me to Pensacola, Fl. to the beach. So now I can say I've been there. I am tired from the long drive but otherwise I am fair to middling as Mama would have said. So nice of you to ask. How are you doing these days?
I've been very busy learning about goats, rabbits, chickens, medicinal herbs, making cheese, learning how to make soap, and a bunch of other stuff I will need to know when we start our own farm! Whew! It made me tired just to see all of that in print. LOL
That is pretty awesome! Your own farm....I could be envious if it weren't against the rules.
I'll look forward to hearing more about that. How much land are you planning on doing it on?

Well, we want several acres. And I don't know how big it will actually be. But we are planning on going in with my daughter and her family, and my son, on a big enough piece of land that we can all be together without being on top of each other. We are praying about all of this, and asking the Lord to show us the way, since this seems to be what He is leading us to do. Our aim is to relocate to Idaho for a while so I can help my daughter with the kids, and then we will begin looking at land.
I just read about Boise, Idaho being the 'safest' place to live in regards to naural disaters. Your plan to buy in conjunction with your children is wonderful. I used to subscribe to Mother Earth magazine. They have terrific articles on homesteading, farming and so many other great things. A small family can learn to be almost self-sufficient on five acres according to what I remember reading.
Someone else had that, and I used to get it - um, maybe 25 years ago?? Wow, blast from the past. Maybe I should look it up.
Well, I hope you get some rest. I'm probably going to sign off and do something constructive before bedtime. We go to bed early when Mike is on his flying hitch. Have a good night. Talk to you soon.
With everything you are into now I'm sure you would enjoy it and find lots of interesting articles. Good to hear from you. Enjoy your evening.

Good luck with that. Let's see....you will be 280 years older by then. That's a LOT of willpower.
