Things that annoy me:

Glenn Beck.
My hair touching the back of my neck when it's wet/hot outside.
The fact that I put all my clothes that fit into the washer at the same time, then ran out of energy and didn't put them in the dryer.
Un-escapable clutter.
Contractions that don't bring on labor.
The way that money flies through our hands these days.
The lack of a decent thunderstorm lately.
Levon's school.
That the central air in the house doesn't quite make it upstairs.
Lukewarm coffee.
The boys' habit of pulling the blankets and sheets off my bed so that when I go to lay down there is only a bare mattress. Yuck.
Milwaukee Freecycle. (The new mods are slow, there are too many people who don't show up to take things away, and there are unbelievable "Wanted" posts.)
My flakiness when it comes to friends.
Public transit going all to hell.
Gas prices. The fact that very few people have been driving less, despite the prices or concern for the environment. The fact that Damien has to drive to work because it's too far and the bus won't get him there. The fact that I don't even want a damn car anymore, and our transmission is shot, and we're going to have to buy a new car in the next few months anyway.
My lame inability to accomplish anything.
Being too big to be comfortable.
Waking up every hour to pee and then not being able to get back to sleep.
That my persistent ice-craving is not being satisfied since we only have three ice trays.
Dirty dishes in the sink.

Gas prices + dying car = reason Jonathan is saving up to buy a scooter

Oh, crappy!
I just wish that the transit system was better. I'd have no problem packing up the kids and hopping on the bus in most instances, but the price has risen, routes have been cut, etc.
I'm really very irritated with the car right now. We bought it a few months ago, and it's shot. It will cost more to fix it than it's worth. Our credit is shit and we have no savings, so it's not like a new or newish car is in our future.
I'm just praying that Damien can get transferred back downtown, so he doesn't have to drive to Brown Deer every day any more.

Re:
Our new to us trailblazer is holding up but it's a gas guzzler (most things that will hold three car seats are awful). Jon's old minivan is going to get run into the ground, the trans is slowly dying but will cost more to fix than the bluebook value...

Re:
That's exactly where we're at. We paid 1500 for our car (yeah, I know. You get what you pay for.), and the transmission, etc is going to cost 2000+. So now the question is- do we put that money into fixing it, or get another car that's going to last us just a few years.
Bleh.

Ditto on the hair on the back of your neck thing during the summer!  I've had long hair for many years, so I'm used to it, but it's awful when it gets sweaty.  Icky.  Hence why I've been getting into wearing scarves and headbands lately.

I second you on unescapable clutter -- it's EVERYWHERE and most of the time when I attempt to clean it up, I just end up pushing it around....

More comments from me to come.  Lab is closing.  Damn.  I hate summer computer lab hours.  I don't wanna go home!  I miss you!!!  Must escape SOON.
