Santa Takes A Break

With all the confusion and turmoil over Christmas and the use of the term "Merry Christmas" Santa has taken about all he can take.

At a parade in Atlanta something he surely didn't expect. Santa was knocked out by a thrown object. In Washington State he was thrown for a loss. To find a Santa was nailed to a 15 ft cross.
Santa's in Australia were being let go for uttering the phrase, Ho . . Ho . . Ho . . Even to Santa's dismay and surprise a Santa in Rio was shot at in unfriendly skies.
The topper he thought from where Santa sat, was the report from obesity activists saying he was too fat. The snow and the cold was getting to him too. When his tongue hit the pole it stuck just like glue.

Yes Santa was tired and had all he could take. It was time he thought to take a long break.
He thought long and hard, a decision he did reach. It was time for some fun on a Florida beach.

But with Santa gone what would all the good children do. Time was running out for a Christmas rescue.

Smiley Santa To The Rescue

In another place in time in a land far away. A certain Mr. Smiley was having another bad day.
He auditioned one day as he thought of riches it would bring. He was rejected on the spot when they found he couldn't sing.

His attempt for a job at a spa wasn't great. He found he had a hard time trying to handle the weight.

One last chance he thought but try as he might, when reporting on weather disasters his smile was too bright.

When he went to bed that night to him it did not seem, His mind would be filled with a wonderous dream.
He awoke with a start the dream still in his head. I will help rescue Christmas, "I can do it" he said.

There wasn't much time he was well aware. He needed Smiley elves, there were toys to prepare.

With the toys all prepared he was soon on his way, With 3 tiny smiley reindeer guiding his sleigh.

On smiley 1, smiley 2, smiley 3 but not 4. He wasn't that large he didn't need any more.

He placed smiley gifts in stockings and under smiley ornamented trees. They left snacks just for him of smiley cookies, crackers and cheese.

With his good deed now completed, he knew all was right. He then left wishing a . . .

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
TOOOOOO funny!!!!!!!!!!

Look at this blog...all these snow pictures...and I'm still using AUTUMN as my header!!! Can you believe, we still have dead leaves (some still colored with fall color!) on some trees?! It's ridiculously warm here today. I LOVE snow, but our winters here seem to be getting warmer every season. Which I guess is not entirely bad, since the cost of heating has gone so high! LOL!

I could almost FEEL the coziness of that fireplace with snow falling outside! Did you take that picture of Santa in your living room last night? LOL!

Merry Christmas, Mallman!

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
Thank you Dear Friend.

The snow we have had off and on as the temperature fluctuates above and below freezing. But, winter has just begun so who knows what we will be surprised with next. If you want some snow I could send you some in a trade and you could send some heat.

Santa couldn't stay long so I did not get his picture this time. He had a lot of very good boys and girls like you to see.

Have a great week and I hope to chat with you soon.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
Thanks so much!  It was an interesting trip.  Mostly in Nevada.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I am glad you had a good time and enjoyed yourself. I have traveled all over the US (mostly on the east coast) but have not yet been to Nevada. Perhaps one day.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
There's so many places I'd love to visit. However, I must work too! Ha!  As it is only me!  So... there's a season for everything and patience is not my virtue.  I want to take it all in NOW...

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
So many places to see and things to do and so little time.   I have sort of a mental list myself. Part of my problem also like you is that it is only me. I guess I don't mind so much traveling alone but it would be a lot more fun seeing the sights with someone to share it with. Perhaps one day.

Then I would not even know where to begin. I guess, just make a list and take it one place at a time.

Take care and have a great weekend.

Are you doing okay my friend?

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I am ok. Thank you for asking. I just don't sign on here much anymore. Too few visitors and even fewer who comment. I spend more time on Myspace.

I hope you are well and having a great weekend. I will have to venture over to your blog to see some more of your enchanting images.

Take care.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I just caught you over at my blog.  I miss you when you're not here when I come in.  I don't come on as often either.  Spring is just a couple of months a way, and there will be more time for both you and I to spend time in our yards and that has to be a good thing.  We must keep each other posted in what we do there.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
That is very sweet, thoughtful and a caring of you. We could always exchange e-mail addresses or something like that. In that way we don't have to miss each other so much.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I don't list mine here, however I could write to the one that is in your email at some point, if that is fine.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I have no e-mail address listed here either. I am not sure what you were referring to.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
I apologize, my mistake!  I saw the AIM name listed in your profile.  It doesn't take much to confuse me on the internet. Smiley
If you want to direct me to a place where your email is displayed, that would be fine.

Re: Very Smiley Christmas
No need to apologize. I don't even know why I keep that listed as I never use it anyway.

As for the address, I could leave it on your wiki page in a comment as long as you delete it before anyone else gets it or you could leave yours on mine. I don't get many visitors here anyway let alone on my wiki page. I would add it here but if I did and then deleted it after you got it it would also delete the entire thread I believe.

Let me know which you prefer and we will go from there.
