She discovered the meadow quite by accident while meandering about the woods behind her home.  It was solitary perfection, an expanse of emerald green, lush and fragrant, with patches of the most intense yellows and purples, blues and whites scattered throughout.  She was immediately struck with the realization that here, in this small secluded paradise, was the privacy she'd longed for where all her joyous inhibition could be expressed through dancing with sweet, wild abandonment, unencumbered by clothes or peering lustful eyes to interrupt.

Having studied the terrain carefully, being assured she was quite alone, she removed her sandals and lifted her dress high over her head letting it drop to the grass.  Drenched in the noonday sun, her body, a work of sensual perfection, began to sway to the music of her life.  Turning and moving, moving and turning until without forethought, she leapt high into the air never touching earth again until the fading of the light.  Delightfully exhausted, she lay down in the grass, adrift in the pure ecstasy of having discovered her very own field of dreams.  When she was fully rested, she gathered her clothes, reluctantly put them on and made her way home, determined to return again tomorrow and dance once more as she had danced today.

She had no knowledge of the sly black wolf watching from an old grove of trees at the edge of the woods.

Had she seen him licking his lips, attempting to stem the flow of juices dripping from his mouth, pooling around his front paws at the vision of her loveliness, her exuberance would have propelled her high into the air once again, body spinning with excitement to the point of dizziness for she had a great passion for black wolves.

I love you, you silly thing!  The only difference in you and me, is that you pretend it is an inner persona and I never beat about the bush about anything....giggle...

Nicer title by far!

Re: ...a 'trip' down memory lane to the "field of dreams"...
No pretense here...just multi-faceted depth and dimension...but with class, discretion and style.

Discretion is much to be desired and is the wiser choice when when measured against verbosity!

gotcha!

no giggles...guffaws!

Thank you and of course I will...but you know I'm a creative writing teacher, don't you?  Don't worry, I'll make you proud!  Even when I don't comment, I vote!

Re: ...a 'trip' down memory lane to the "field of dreams"...
That doesn't help because I never check top blogs. I am a words of affirmation person and you need to at least say "great stuff" or something if you like it.  And, of course, point out the flaws...lol...I know they will be of great help in the long run.

I have been invited to the National Poetry Convention in Vegas in July and I am still up in the air at this time about attending, since it is so expensive.  I have registered but have not yet booked a room or a flight.  But if I go, I will get the chance to enter another competition for a grand prize of $20,000.00 plus a ten thousand book contract for my poetry.  Of course I will also receive a nice trophy and medal for the poem that is being published in an anthology and being nominated as poet of the year (altho I know it is with maybe hundreds others...we'll see).

The poem they recognized was "Mad Hatter" but I may submit a Christian one for the other entry...what do you think?  Have you read "Mysterious Love of Mine"?  Please read it and tell me if it is too doctrinal for something like that...I may have to use the one about "strumming ....something or other" which is a freestyle love Poem.  I really would like your advice on this.

I thought about publishing a few of the oldies again, and asking people to make a choice for me of the best one...but don't know if I should do that.  I have not told everyone I am going and about the reward because I want to make one hundred percent sure that I am going first.  Please pray about that, too.  It may not look like a lot of money to some, but to my husband it would be a bit of a stretch.

Thank you, Harmony, love
Bonnie

Re: ...a 'trip' down memory lane to the "field of dreams"...
yes...they are all there...if you want a list, i will list them for you, with the links so you can just click on them....this means a lot to me, my friend....as I need my husband to see that I am not just blowing in the wind again..he has lost money as he paid to have me try to start an online biz and I keep freezing up and can't do a thing....my doc said it was silly of me, being bipolar, to go for pie in the sky biz venture...so that is how it is...sigh...

Re: ...a 'trip' down memory lane to the "field of dreams"...
I will definitely let Birdie know.

However, unfortunately, it looks like I will not be able to go to Vegas after all.  If I do, it will put us in a pinch financially and I will never hear the end of it. So, I may start trying to get editors to look at my work, when I get around to it.  Thank you for saying you would help out, but it is no longer necessary.  You are still welcome to read my work, of course, but there is no longer any pressure.

Have a good trip and don't overdo things.

Love
Bonnie

Re: ...the voyeur...
You know I have kind of a funny (odd) story in regards to wolves.  Las summer my parents and I took Jack on about a 2 and a half week road trip through Oregon, California, Nevada and then back to Seattle.  While in Cali we spent a couple of nights in Sand Diego and visited the Zoo.  My Mom sat that one out but My Dad Jack and I went and as we were walking a couple of the zoo keepers were kind of walking along side of us with a couple of what I thought were dogs.  Well as it turns out, one of them was the zoo keepers dog and the other was a White Wolf!  So to this day we talk about our walk with the White Wolf.  They are such beautiful, mysterious animals.  We made sure not to disturb him during his walk and just kept along our merry way.  But it was a really cool experience.

Re: ...the voyeur...
That is the "Sweetest looking wolf!" I also love the one on your page marker! But then I love "all" wolves... they are the wild ancestors of our dogs, just as foxes and coyotes are. I call the little pomeranian, (and other of the small breeds) "Tiny fox faces!"

And thanks for "adding" me!

Re: ...the voyeur...
Thank you Harmony. Yes, remember that I referred to your website as 'a diamond mine?' Well naturally your website is a representation of you... or a more accurate way to describe this "Phenomena" is 'A Diamond  MIND!' You may call it 'eclectic,' but like a diamond, I see you as "Brilliant" and Multifaceted!

Of course, it 'Takes one, to know one!' Smiley

Modesty is not one of my best assets,' but then again, modesty in many cases, is just an attempt to avoid the 'Jealous' nature of the 'average persson, who probably has the 'ability to think' but lacks the adventurous persuit!

You mentioned 'The Redwoodpecker!" He has the adventurous spirit to 'think, even if I don't always agree with him... however, he also has a "Dictatoral" attitude... where he "Must Be Right" all of the time, or he becomes like a two year old, and has "Temper Tantrums!" That is when he starts calling you unwarranted and terrible names. Just letting you know, so you are not "Shocked" in the future. Unless of course he has "Evolved," which I seriously doubt. I really enjoyed his company for a while.

p.s.  "obnoxiousness" is a color...is a sound...has a presence...therefore, is relevant...
