My amazing boss managed to get me some time off on extremely short notice.

The upside: I am going to Portland!

Over Labor Day weekend, I am traveling to Portland (OR, not ME!) with (hopefully!) my girlfriend, Elena.

I haven't had a real vacation in too long to discuss. So I am thrilled to be getting away for a few days. I hear Portland is a lovely area, and I've never been, so that's very exciting.

There will probably be more to come on this topic, but for now, let me say this:

Christian Kane.

(lovespirit is freaking out right now, I can tell)

He is an amazing singer/songwriter/actor and he will be performing with his band at a venue in Portland on September 5. He is THE reason I am going to Portland.

All that way, just for him.

This is an interview of him by a morning show in Portland, done about a month ago. The interview is cute enough, but if you watch, he sings at the end (and one of my favorite songs of his, called "Different Kind of Knight")

I soooo cannot wait. Poor Elena, I am going to be an absolute nutcase when I see him.

I heart Labor Day!

Okayyyyyyy....the paramedics have just left but my neighbors stuck around...when they heard all the screaming and moaning and deep sighing they immediately dialed 911! right now, one is misting my face with cool Perrier while the other one is filling my armpits with ice chips in an attempt to calm me...another one is on the floor kicking and rolling around laughing hes you know what off while pointing at my limp condition! they're concerned and said they will not leave until I can stop all this loud moaning and sighing and saying things like, "ooooohhhhhhhh....owwwww...ummmmm...aaahhhhhhhhh..." HELP ME SOMEBODY!!!!

Can you believe I am flying across country to see him? I am a nutcase.

And I think it is totally worth it.

I am absolutely OK and I am sooo happy for you! I want you to bold and assertive...get him to say "hello" into the videocamera to your 'Mindsay' BF.
