Wow! Glad you were wearing such a lovely dress!
And that is a NICE perk!
And that is a NICE perk!
I've had some high-maintenance guests recently. I even had a member of Parliament passively attack me for a policy that is the same in every hotel (he even admitted that in his tirade). He was rude even when I offered him alternatives and even bent the rules for him. I think he realised what an asshole he was being toward the end of the check-in process but he didn't apologise. I was so upset, I was shaking while I wrote up my report. I just wanted to write him a letter reminding him of what the speaker said on the first day of sitting:
"You're all V.I.P's now. . .Know it. Don't show it"
but that's not how it works. We stand there, take it, try to empathise. All the while we're standing in the most luxurious setting in Sydney, while all all of this awful stuff is happening all over the world. The juxtaposition just doesn't make sense sometimes. There are a lot of lovely guests but the bad ones seem to take all that away lately.
The mood is also heavy. I think everyone is overworked at the moment. Hopefully it will slow down a little so we can breathe and enjoy ourselves again.

Fantastic. I'm kind of rushing an element of the piece for the Arts Prize and I get flown to Melbourne for the opening which will be fun.

i would like to wear a dress... i might if i didn't go to high school and feel incredibly self-conscious and uncomfortable in one.
lol
lolHave you ever noticed that once you're out of the house. . .It no longer matters what you wear.
Find a dress that's suitable and wear it I say. Maybe start with a skirt and a cool little t-shirt. It's less intimidating than a dress.

Wow, that's some terrible stuff to have to endure on the job... I don't know how you stand it!
LOL!
I am glad to hear you enjoyed it. What a great day to dress up and be a bit girly.

I know! Must be some sort of intuition. It was lovely. For some strange reason I feel a little guilty because of all the people actually "working" while I was dining, It's stupid but still.
