Today while flicking though Mindsay I came across some shocking images posted on a controversial blog topic.  I am not pointing fingers and any particular person or group of people however I want to state that just because a photo is available on the internet does not mean that that photo is there legally, and does not mean that you have the right to reproduce it in any way whatsoever.

The photos I am refering to are of dead fetus/babies.

These photographs are of someones children, and the most likly senerio is that you've just used the most painful moment in someones life as a way to express an opinion.  Without their permission, and in my opinion are violating their right to privacy.

I was greatly distrubed to see these photos.  I am not saying that people should not discuss abortion, however when a person uses shock and exteremism to get their point across for impact without the consideration of whom they might be affecting, whom might see those photographs and their psychological impact is rather disgusting and if nothing else a violation of those whom have suffered miscarriages and those whom have had abortions.  Although you might not like it people whom have abortions for medial, physical, emotional or mental reasons may feel deep pain at having had an abortion, not to say that they regret it, but they live with their decision daily.  It is something you do not forget.

Their choices, are not for your advantage as leverage in a controversial battle over whether they are a murder or not.  OR whether abotion is murder.  Those images were likly classified for medical documents and prehaps research.  Not for reproduction.

After seeing these images I did a google search and found that most of them came from a group of  sites:

Firstly I want to say I do no recommend going to these sites, or looking at the pictures contained as they are graphic, distrubing, and may be upsetting.

This is all I have to say on the subject.

ok, my question was just answered.

this changes things.  these sites are not within Mindsay but elsewhere...at least i'm assuming.

there are many sick images and stories on the internet.
let's face it...the abortion situation, at least in america is a landmine.  we've talked about it extensively.  there are just too many people, the vast majority are all or nothing.  and in their black and white world of right and wrong do not/can not see they themselves can be wrong.  therefore they see no reason to be respectful.  both sides are guilty.

there are enough photos to show the beauty of life (and a life to be) that showing the cruelty in its death is over the line...and perhaps cruel
that's my opinion.

Re: Greatly Distrubed..

however when a person uses shock and exteremism to get their point across for impact

We live in a world in which political/religious points are made by flying airliners into skyscrapers and people strapping on explosives and detonating themselves. And bombing abortion clinics and assassinating doctors--let's not forget the occasional outbreaks of that. So I'm afraid the merely disgusting is no longer that shocking, or even extreme.

I must agree with that, and add that we've become so detached and desensitized that perhaps dredging up the most disturbing images possible really is necessary to even have any effect on an apathetic population that eats whatever Fox, MSNBC, and CNN spoon feed them.
