01-27-08 - I FORGOT..BAD MOMMY!

OK, so I am an absolutely TERRIBLE Mommy! Or a very busy and tired one!
I forgot to login to tell you all that on Friday afternoon Sephie strung her first words together....as in she said her first two words, and strung them together....

We have long agreed that she says "hi". We just weren't SURE as she just enjoyed saying it, and would repeat it often, regardless of the situation. Normally, I would hear it when I came to get her in the middle of the night....
On Friday, I had beaten Cookie home from work, and had Sephie. She was hanging out in her jumper. Jump jump JUMPing like a Crazy Kangaroo on Acid when he got home. He walked into the room and crouched down to see her and said "Hi Persephone." (All happy and cheery like people do to babies...)
She stopped jumping, looked right at him, and said plain as day.... "HI Dadadadadada!"
HA! So there you have it, her first words AND sentence at 2 days younger than 7 months...HI DADA!
LOL....
Someone tried to tell him that she just was making noise, and yeah ok... that would be vaild...had she not used it IN CONTEXT...she greeted him. And based on her yelling dadadadadadadadadadadada yesterday morning after he left for work and getting mad and raspberrying me when he didn't answer, tells me she DEFINITELY knows what it means. PLUS I tend to tell her DADADADADADA instead of just Dada... And MAMAMAMAMAMA instead of Mama...
so I believe she is copying me....lol...
