
Thanks for posting this link. My first blog that I had started writing today (but later deleted) was on a similar subject, that people are too quick to judge others and label them. Cliques don't help.
It's certainly part but I think there's more - here by getting rid of cliques and stereotyping we're only improving conditions, we're not helping people accept a broader range of conditions. People only get lonely or feelings like that if they depend on there being other people and havn't let go of that desire - this makes them emotionally dependant on how kind life is to them, and it's not possibly to guarantee that all the time that there will be someone (i.e. in old age when they become housebound). Being away from what you crave is an oppertunity to become less attatched to it, like going cold-turkey in rehab, but satisfying the need is like snorting that drug again - a temporary high that pulls you into addiction.
