Although I am black:
I do not have rims on my car.
I do not speak ebonics.
I LOVE rock and roll music as well as alternative.
I do not love basketball, chitterlings, and fried chicken.
I do not call myself african american or black. skin tone is not what makes me who I am.
I did NOT go to college on the EOF program.
Although I am Native American:
I do NOT live on a reservation.
I do NOT own a casino.
I do NOT get drunk off firewater, have no teeth, and cry about what the white man has done to me while in my drunken stupor.
I do not run around outside dancing for it to rain.
Although I am a woman:
I have never caused an accident in my car due to a lack of driving skills. I can drive rather well thank you.
I do not always get PMS and freak out, eating chocolate all day.
I do not happily scrub dishes and clothes in the sink.
Although I am a black woman:
I do not say everything with an attitude.
I do not have baby daddies with bebe's kids running around me.
I do not feel the need to run around screaming independent but go home to a weed smoking, drug dealing gangster in a one bedroom hell hole in the projects.
Although I am a black Christian:
I do not need to go to church and pretend to shout all over the church in order to have a good time.
I do not feel the need to bake cookies and go to dinners after church with the church folk.
I do not feel the need to go to black churches all the time.
I do not run around preaching and singing hymnals all day long to passersby.
Although I am Christian:
I do not think that church is the end all be all for everyone.
I do not think that gays are going to hell.
I do not think that the rapture is going to save us all from tribulation.
I do not think that everything in the bible should be taken literally.
Although I am a Spiritualist:
I do not worship satan.
I do not do seances in my living room on Saturday nights.
I do not do pagan rituals.
I do not believe in more than one god.
