I'm in California at this very moment taking a 2 week course on Seabee Operations (CB Ops as it's known in Navy Circles).

I miss Kelly terribly - but I have learned to not whine about it as much (in the Navy, they call that discipline!)  good job Richard.

We have 1 hour for lunch and for the most part, I spend it on the phone with Kelly.  It's funny how we both actually like just being on the phone - sometimes talking, other times just listening to each other breath or talk shop to someone else or even sleep.

I'll be glad when next Friday occurs because then that means I'll be hours away from home (Hurrah!!!!).

It's great to be alive and in love and loved.

Richard Lionheart - I get it, it's good.

I know what you mean about phone-love. My girl and I are separated by distance but we spend hours every day on the phone, just being together. Thankfully we have a great phone plan that allows us to use ten minutes periods for free, so we hang up every 10 minutes ( or so ) and then resume.

It's weird as you say but it works.

Yeah.....My wife and I have Sprint (a blessing and not so at times) so we can talk as long as we want - endlessly literally and it is covered.  The modern age is so wonderful and different from when we both grew up.  A pay phone was a big deal when I was a pre-teen.

The nice thing though about us (I think) is that this is not a phenomenon.  We talk like this all the time, everyday pretty much (unless she's mad at me !)  That I'm in California is just one of those things that we don't necessarily like but because we listen and talk to each other on the phone, well....it's not like being there.  Nothing is.  But it keeps us aware and in contact and that will do until we see each other.

I'm glad to know we're not the only ones!
