Everyone is so down on suicide. Not one person in all the articles I've read tonight support it. I can not let that stand. Surely there has to be some positive aspects to suicide. What if a person isn't depressed, is sane... is it still possible they could want to commit suicide? I would argue that it is possible.

What would be the motive of such a person? Perhaps said person is just sick and tired of this existence. Wouldn't be that hard to imagine when you take the state of the world into account. With global warming, right wing nut jobs, overpopulation, pollution, religious fundamentalism, scarcity of resources, and greed... it's not that far fetched to think that someone without mental or physical issues would want to off themselves.

In my research I've also discovered the best way to commit suicide if that is your wish. Insulin overdose would be the best way. One important thing to remember... have another dose handy in case you wake up a few hours later with a headache. It seems our livers have the ability to offset large doses of insulin in life threatening situations. This is why many insulin suicide attempts fail. Fortunately, it takes a few day for your liver to reset, so if you hit yourself again right away with another large dose, then your almost assured to succeed where so many others fail.

I'm not saying you should commit suicide, but I also believe in individual freedom. I think all people should be allowed to make up their own minds. We all act like dying is the worst thing that can happen to you. I think it may be the greatest adventure.

Re: I'm pro suicide... at least right now.
I think it's because it's emotional to the living, to lose someone - It is selfish of the living too I guess, but understandable in some ways. There are certainly taboos and prejudices about talking about depression and they need to end too. And certainly, it happens, people who are generally stable still commit suicide because they don't like the thought of a whole life ahead of them or don't want to wait to see what afterlife would be like, or want to meet with a deceased person if they believe they can.

Certainly, I think all the problems in the world too, can cause depression itself We can't hope to change the whole world, but we can influence things on the small scale and do what we can to make life better for those we immediately deal with I think, that's particularly needed I think in a sad world like this - we can try to make it a more bearable place, perhaps that'd be a good use of life...

Well... they might as well do it with the least pain possible I guess, so I see good

Yea... could be an adventure for ourselves... and people need to respect that... but just remember people who need us
