awesome - fire & pie? I'll be 'round, hehe
Come on over, but beware, we truly do have a ton of snow.
We're in upstate New York. Where about are you?
We're in upstate New York. Where about are you?Hey, Kathy! Happy (late) Thanksgiving! Sounds like a peaceful one much like ours was. LOL. I miss the rowdiness of the big family get togethers sometimes, but the quiet times are just as memorable, I think.
Glad you had the pecans! LOL! With Mackenzie I absolutely had to have hot wings all hours of the days and nights and the luckily my hubby worked at the local pizza joint. He'd veer off delivery once or twice a night to deliver me some.... LOL. Poor guy! I'm surprised that baby turned out okay!

Hey girl! I can certainly say I have never craved hot wings. I can't stand them. However, with my last pregnancy that only lasted 13 weeks, I craved hot cheetoes, and icees. LOL The crazy things these babies put up with. hehe I think it was my mom that made me want the pecan pie. She said they had one, but hers came from the freezer department at the local Food Lion store.

Dale's family had a huge get together at his parents house. With 14 kids, and their spouses, and all their kids you know it was huge! I love them all, but I don't like the chaos. I'm glad we missed that one. Quiet small family times are good too, like you said.
That sounds absolutely awesome! Man, I would have liked to have tasted that pecan pie! If it was good, send me the recipe! LOL I don't know how you are standing all of that snow! Granted, I am in WV and we do get a big snow maybe once or twice a year...but to get it all the time? Lord, I don't think I could handle that! I know *exactly* what you mean about feeling trapped. When we do get one of those big storms that is how I feel. Ewwww....to think that was the norm in the winter would freak me out. But...at least you had pecans, huh? I'll hollar at ya later! Hugs!
Yeah, we got about 18 inches of snow. Our neighbors were out of town for most of the weekend, and came home today. The drove up and said "what happened here?" They said we got more snow then anyone, and they had just driven back up from Syracuse, so they saw several places. We all went out and played in it today. Wish I had gotten some pics of the kids playing. Oh yeah, the pie. I used the classic pecan pie recipe at www.karosyrup.com. It's also on the back of the Karo syrup bottles.
Hey, I want some pecan pie!! My stove is way too old to even attempt baking one here. For some reason, the middle of the pie stays raw

Wow, girl, you sure cooked a lot, save your energy honey, you know you are going to need it!
Hey Leticia! My oven is apparently very old too. So far I have burnt most everything I cooked in it. The pie was burnt on top, and not quite done in the middle. No matter how I adjust the temp it just doesn't work right. As soon as we get Dale's pay straightened out I'm ordering a new thermostat. It's only going to cost about $75. That sounds like a lot, but it nothing compared to the cost of a new oven. You might try getting a new one for yours. Is your husband handy enough to install it himself? That's where it can get expensive if he can't do it.
Don't worry about me saving my energy.
I'm doing plenty of resting although it might not sound like it. I still haven't started any painting. I haven't found the roller and paint pan yet. LOL Darn it! I don't need to save my energy though. I'm having a c-section.
(not my choice though)
Hey Chevy, come right over and have some pie...if you don't mind the top being burnt, and the middle runny. LOL It's my oven though, cause I'm actually a good baker.
