
I agree with you wholeheartedly. It really is an event which is less about football than it is about rooting for one team or the other or simply getting all up in the hoopla. I don't care much about the regular season, but I remain consistent by not caring much about the Superbowl either.

I don't need no stinkin' Super Bowl to have a party... every day's a cause to party - when you're retired.
Half time will probably suck this year - no Jackson's flopping out of wardrobe!
You know what's funny, I didn't even know about the "wardrobe malfunction" until the next day. I try to avoid all halftime shows.
Good observations. I think the Super Bowl should be called the Corporate Bowl. While thousands of Colts and Bears fans are painting their faces and maxing out their credit cards, executives and guests of the big corporations are dining on fancy fare in luxury suites. Oh well, it's The American Way. p.s. no to party, and I like the Browns. Go figure.
